His experience in web technology began with hands on training in accordance with the Navy’s philosophy “Train like you fight.” In a matter of months Chris went from a “booter” to the primary knowledge resource with regard to the web for all six departments, including his own highly qualified IT department. In 2001 he had already begun recommending to his superiors that they start optimizing for the then relatively unknown Google. Realizing the potential of SEO, Analytics, and SEM as a marketing tool vice a web technology, he has since been employed with Ottaway Communications in providing web development, design, and new technology, while contributing to it’s highly focused and forward thinking digital marketing department. During the time since his Honorable Discharge from the US Navy he has been finishing his 4 year degree at Wayne State University School of Engineering and has been sent by the US Navy to several overseas locations, including NATO Headquarters, London, and Armed Forces Network, Tokyo, where his expertise could be maximized in commands that consider internet public affairs as a priority.
