A growing trend has hit the world of online shopping. Rather than placing one giant order from a computer, more and more people have begun making short bursts of smaller orders on their phones, according to a Wall Street Journal article by Greg Bensinger. Retailers are calling this new trend, “snacking”.
With a continually increasing trend of shoppers “snacking”, sales on mobile devices are through the roof. According to comScore, sales on mobile devices grew 56% in the U.S. to $49.2 billion, which doubles the growth seen in the previous year.
