YouTube is making major changes after advertisers became concerned about company ads being placed alongside offensive material. Previously, YouTube viewers could be easily exposed to distasteful material while watching YouTube ads. Over 250 brands pulled their advertising efforts on YouTube in March, causing YouTube to lose major bucks. YouTube implemented a new policy that only allows for ads to be placed on videos within channels with more than 10,000 views. According to a recent article from The Wall Street Journal, YouTube set this new plan in motion to “punish rule breakers.”
